This product does transmit wireless sound and video to your home TV. Works great, pictures good quality, not great, but that could be because my TV is old, I'll know for sure this week when i get my New 42' in. The bad: Distance is a real issue, you can't get the reciever to far away from the transmitter or you get bad video quality with many breaks in the feed. If your in another room, you can forget about it. The devices themselfs feel very cheap, and if you use any type of wireless internet, forget this product. The wireless net interferes with this product and you done get ANY video. This does seem to work well when you've got line of sight from pc to tv, my max distance is at about 10 foot, then i run outta room . I built a cheap htpc for watching videos and it works great.*Note* If you are going to hook up your PC to your TV with a cable then make sure you get a coaxial isolator or you will get some annoying scrolling bar on your TV. It's caused by a ground loop and it took me forever to find out how to fix it. |

Angeltrax CATV2400Plus much easier and simpler to use than the original catv2400!
The CATV2400Plus eliminates the need to manually synchronize RF frequencies between both the transmitter and receiver units so that both units can talk to each other. Now when you change the frequency on one unit, the frequency automatically changes on both.
For people with older TV sets, the NEW Angeltrax CATV2400Plus is a better fit with its' new coax output feature. This is an issue that was addressed with this new model, many people had older TV's that did not have RCA connectors... their TV sets only had the screw on coax cable connector. In the past these customers would have had to purchase a separate converter to use their TV sets with the Angeltrax receiver, this is no longer the case.
The Angeltrax CATV2400Plus is pretty simple to install. After opening the box, you can quickly review the installation guide to familiarize yourself with the equipment. You will then screw your existing cable into the built-in splitter, which will allow you to split your existing cable feed to your Angeltrax transmitter without affecting your main TV's signal.
Once you screw the cable into the back of the transmitter, and plug in the power cable... you will then install the receiver onto the TV of your choice.
You can either install the receiver by plugging in the RCA connectors into you TV, or on older models you can attach it just like a cable or antenna via the coax connection.
Ok, if you are using Digital Cable or Digital Sat. system then you will need to hook into the feed coming out of your set top box used with your digital system. The IR glass eye will then allow you to control the channels and functions on said set top box through the angeltrax remote tv system, using the original remote. This applies to devices such as TIVO as well.

It's too bad that this product is discontinued. This is the BEST transmission system I EVER had. I had Terk Leapfrog, RF-Link5811, and tried that X10 Pyramid, Radio Shack. NONE of these things hold a candle to this guy. It's fantastic. I can even watch DVD on it. It doesn't have directions too well, but I figured it out by playing with it. I love the fine tune button, the RF button - that helps. And the TV/AV button. Those buttons on the remote that comes with this unit are the key. You can use your digital remote to your digital cable box and change the channels!!!! So now all I have to do is try and get my universal remote and have it change channels on the digital cable box and I can change channels from by bedroom or basement. It's AWESOME. AngelTrax really should re-think about making more of this product. I bought mine on eBay since you couldn't find this thing anywhere. No one else has it. So I keep an eye on eBay for more of those things... Over-the-air reception was impossible and a brick wall precluded cable. I ran a cable from my TiVo to the transmitted and connected the receiver to a small TV. Fantastic picture and sound. I even get TiVO in the kitchen TV. I then tried it using eyeTV hybrid to turn my MacBook into a TV receiver. My wife has experienced severe hearing loss and wears hearing aids, however with the Sennheiser set830 TV listening system she can hear everything on TV very distinctly, without wearing hearing aids. The ear phones are very comfortable, much better than the old large muff set she used to have. The only problem she has experienced is that the volume on the TV must be turned up to a medium level to insure a constant audio signal. This does not present a problem since anyone listening with her is not being blasted out of the room. Most of the time she can play the TV at a lower level anyway. The volume control has a large range and is very effective in providing enough sound for her to hear every word spoken. The extra controls are easily adjusted to maximize clarity for soft spoken voice and adjusting the treble. So far this set has been outstanding. Anyone needing a boost with their TV... The other issue is although you can buy replacement batteries at Amazon I don't see anyone selling the earpieces. I still like the set and Sennheiser backs it.
